2021 is coming to a close and while it arguably has been better than 2020, there is still much to be desired.
Learning comes when things don't go smoothly and I'm no exception. Here are 5 things I've learned this year.
History is important. Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it.
There's no excuse not to be better than you were yesterday. There are millions of things in this world that we cannot control. For me, a type A person that's hard to accept. The one thing that we do control is how we spend our time. There is no one accountable for our progress except for us.
Self care isn't just a hashtag. No matter if self care is a nap, a pedicure, a hair appointment, a doctor appointment, a diet, a massage, exercise or anything else, we can't continue to carry our lives without taking care of ourselves.
Time stops for no man. We only have 24 hours in every day and so many of us waste that time on unnecessary stuff. Plan your days and stick to the plan so that everything happens.
Love is the answer. When you disagree, love is the answer. When you're mad, love is the answer. When someone is in need, love is the answer. When you're helping someone, love is the answer.
What are the things you learned this year? There's no reward for most overworked person of the year. Take the time to slow down and prioritize everything in your life in 2022.
